June 8th - no painting!

I'm taking today off, due to the humidity, and the fact that I have a painting session scheduled later in the day outdoors.  Back next week, I promise.  (Not that anyone was actually coming with me tomorrow.... :))

May 19 - Coastal Roasters

I'll be there ABOUT 7:30.  Setting up outside in the sitting area, or a little ways up the street.  This is a win/win situation even if the painting is not coming out the way I want it - coffee, sunshine, a bathroom, a view in every direction.....  come ON! :)  Hope to see you there...

Post Mothers' Day Session

Hey guys I'm bailing out today.  It's not that it's too cold (wind chill of 41) or gray, but it's supposed to get very gusty wind, and I'm EXHAUSTED from having fun on Mothers' Day (now THAT's a first, I'll grant you!).  See you next week - at Coast Roasters!!!! 7:30 a.m. sharp-ish!

Site for Monday, April 28

I'm planning on being HERE, and it's hard to describe, but you all know where it is.  The stand of willows JUST BEFORE you get onto route 24 coming from Portsmouth (off East Main Road, right after Cox Cable and the Post Office).  There's a little pull off across from the Motel, and I'll be there at 7:30 - NOTE THE TIME CHANGE!!!!  If you ARE coming would you mind 'commenting' here?  That way I know if I'll be alone or not!  Thanks!

And AGAIN...

This coming Monday I'm going to be at Grinnell's Beach again.  Phyllis Adams and I painted there last week, and for a chilly morning, you can really get out of the wind and there is the beach, the Island, the Coffee Shop building and houses to paint.  7 a.m., it's supposed to be low 40's at 7 and go up from there.  Wind is supposed to be under 10 mph, so it should be great!  See you there, or be square!

Second Monday - Not For Wimps Either! Grinnell's Beach

Hi everyone (all 6 or so of you!).  Tomorrow morning is predicted to be just as cold, if not COLDER to start as last week - BUT.... warming up as the morning goes on.  SO.  Here's my spot - Grinell's Beach - I think everyone knows where it is... right at the Getty Station on Main Road in Tiverton - I'm doing this because it's #1 kind of public, in case I'm alone again it's more comfortable for me plus #2 it's close to COASTAL ROASTERS for a warm up coffee (and a restroom).  Plus there's plenty of parking.  Now if it's actually raining I won't be there.  This should be the end of the cold damp mornings - HA, Right!  This being New England, and on the water at that, we've got at least 6 more weeks of potential 'iffy' weather!

But don't let a little cold or wind deter you!  Long sleeved T shirt, fleece, vest, and coat, plus a neck warmer and hat plus 2 pair of glove - you'll hardly feel a thing!

First Day - April 7th, 2008

Hey, it's apt to be C~H~I~L~L~Y on Monday morning, so suit up appropriately.  I've selected the first site, and thereafter it'll either be a group choice, or the suggestion of someone who emails me.  Once the place is selected, however, it'd be best not to change it - too confusing for all of us struggling with getting OUT at 6:30 in the morning!

SO without further ado - I'll be setting up about 6:45 at Pirate's Cove, off Rte 24 North, where the quarry used to be, where there seems to be some DPW piles.  I'm going to try to finish up by 9:30 and head over to Portsmouth Art Guild's Live Model Session, if anyone wants to join me.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone - there is no 'fee', and no instruction, it's just us painting.  See you there!
